[Maine-birds] Additional Highlights This Week, 12/27-1/1

Hi all,

My other sightings of note from the past seven days, in addition to what I have already posted here, included:

- 2 Swamp Sparrows, Fort Foster, Kittery, 12/28 (with Jeannette).

- 1 Swamp Sparrow, York Beach, 12/28 (with Jeannette).

- 16 Sanderlings, Marginal Way, Ogunquit, 12/28 (with Jeannett).

- 1 Northern Flicker, Community Park, Wells, 12/28.

- 1 Merlin, Fessenden Road, Cape Elizabeth, 12/31 (with Phil McCormack).

- 1 CHIPPING SPARROW (my 10th species of sparrow this month!), 1 female COMMON YELLOWTHROAT, 1 SAVANNAH SPARROW, 2 Swamp Sparrows, 1 female BROWN-HEADED COWBIRD, private property in Cape Elizabeth, 12/31 (with Phil McCormack).

- 1 continuing BALTIMORE ORIOLE and 1 continuing GRAY CATBIRD, Sheridan St, Portland, 12/31 (photo of the two together!).
