Re: [Maine-birds] short eared owls, Brunswick

It was also interesting watching an aerial confrontation (around 3:45pm) between a short-eared owl and a snowy owl over the airport runways. The short eared owl caught a vole (likely, was too far to tell from pics) and looked like the snowy wanted to either snatch it or at least scare the SE away from the area. The SE flew upwards, gained some altitude, and then flew back towards the woods. Awesome birding.
