Weather:
Today was mostly overcast with a few breaks of sun and a morning rain
shower. Light northerly wind at the summit, decreasing a bit in the
afternoon. Temperatures took their time climbing to the mid-40s.

Raptor Observations:
There were some interesting combinations of raptors sharing thermals today.
A Bald Eagle and Northern Goshawk briefly circled together, while a bit
later, a Turkey Vulture, Red-shouldered Hawk, and Red-tailed Hawk formed a
loose "mini kettle". A Merlin breezed past as the first falcon of the
season.

Non-raptor Observations:
It must finaly be spring. 29 species were observed at the summit today, and
blackbird and goose flocks are becoming regular fare in the morning's
routine. Insect numbers are also on the rise, with a butterfly of
undetermined species and several other little winged creatures fluttering
about the summit.

Non-raptor migrants:
Canada Goose- 157
American Black Duck- 2
Mallard- 2
Red-winged Blackbird- 56
Common Grackle- 48
blackbird sp.- 29
European Starling- 1
American Robin- 30
American Goldfinch- 1
finch sp.- 5

Predictions:
Light west winds tomorrow with a mostly sunny start to the day. Clouds will
increase through the afternoon, with a chance of a passing sprinkle towards
the end of the day. Temperatures will be close to 50 degrees. With more
favorable wind and weather, there should be an increase in the number of
migrants coming through.
