If it’s any harbinger…? Three Iceland Gulls in Owls Head, at the impoundment in the harbor at the end of Lobster Lane today around noon. Elsewhere, Lesser Scaup (about 15), 2 dozen Coots at Lake Chickawaukee on the Rockland side of the lake. Had a Rough-legged Hawk at Weskeag several days ago, and returned to day to see if he would show up again. I didn’t stay long enough. The crows were harassing something in the woods across the street from the parking area, and we never got to see what it was.
