I saw my first 4 common nighthawks of the year as I was leaving the community garden after work this evening (about 5:15). Just a few minutes later I saw at least a dozen nighthawks in what I guess to be a very loose flock. I saw them stretched over a couple miles in two's and three's over the Gray Road fields all the way from the rotary to the Route 202/Falmouth Road intersection. Quite a spectacle!
