[Maine-birds] Maine Bird Records Committee Fifth Report

Hello Maine Birders,

The Maine Bird Records Committee (ME-BRC) just published its fifth report in the February 2016 issue of Bird Observer. The report includes records reviewed by the committee in 2014. Although no new species were added to the official state list in this report, some have been accepted since (Trindade Petrel, Rock Wren) or are currently in review (Surfbird, Brewer's Sparrow). Once again the journal has given permission to make PDF reprints available on our website:

Bird Observer is a great (and reasonably-priced) resource for New England birders. Subscription information is available on their website:

http://www.birdobserver.org/

On the ME-BRC website, in addition to PDF reprints of the current and past reports, you can also peruse the Official List of Maine Birds, view a variety of Maine ornithological literature, find information on submitting rare bird reports, and read boring stuff about the committee's meetings and bylaws!
