[Maine-birds] Pileated woodpecker wing feathers?

My dog pointed these feathers out to me on our walk this morning...I'm thinking they're some of the wing feathers from a pileated woodpecker (white toward the shaft and black on the outside). This is all we found, walked around the area looking for blood or anything else but didn't find anything....course we got a couple inches of snow/rain/sleet the other day and these were sitting on top of the snow, no tracks around them....not sure what animal could take down a pileated but I'd sure hate to be on the wrong end of that beak...

While wandering around looking for the rest of the woodpecker came across this amazing collection of cavities in a living beech tree!! I think you should be able to view the pictures...
