This morning at 7:00 Ethan and I located the immature yellow-crowned night heron originally found by D. Rheinheimer at Oven's Mouth East Preserve in Boothbay. We watched it feeding in a tide pool, and the bird was still there when we left. Take the Eastern Shoreline (white blaze) trail to the wooden bridge. The bird was easily viewed when looking south of the bridge.
Happy Birding,
Ingrid and Ethan
