Re: [Maine-birds] York County Siskins

Nobleboro, Midcoast. More Pine Siskins than we've had in years. Just seemed like all of a sudden last year's flock of goldfinches were gone and the Siskins were mobbing the feeder. A feisty bunch. Still see an occasional goldfinch though.

Hey folks,

I've had an impressive "charm" of Pine Siskins in my yard, trees and at my feeders for most of 2023 so far. The group totals anywhere from 15-40 birds most days. I live aout 3.5 miles from the coast and just a mile from Mount Agamenticus in York, Maine.

I'm curious if others are finding decent-sized groups of siskins this winter in S. Maine?

Also, if there are any local folks who want a peek at some siskins, you're welcome to text me (# below) and we can arrange for you to come by (no guarantees, of course).
