[Maine-birds] Phed Up in Phippsburg

Phippsburg Maine Map 6 (That's Delorme) Totman Cove

I'm letting you all know that if i turn up missing and no one can find my body that the first suspect to consider should be the Pine Siskins. I know, I know - shut up about the siskins already. But geeeeeez, just when I thought the numbers were declining BAMMMMM they're all over the place again! There are surely enough of them to carry me away. In fact, they have tried a couple of times when I've gone out to fill feeders, picked me right up by my shirt and lifted me off the ground. No kidding. Count is around 60-75 of the little beasts. My rhododendrons look like they have been on the losing side of a paintball war.

Surf Scoters, as some call them "SKunk Heads," which so suits them numbers are rising daily. There are more of them in the cove here than ever before and coming in close to my pier (the pier from which the siskins are planning to dump my body overboard). Count is 9
hanging with White Winged scoters, 11 and One Black scoter
