My first posting.
-- My wife and I spotted a Northern Hawk Owl at 1:30 this afternoon on the Penobscot Valley Ave (known locally as the Access Road) between Rt 2 and the Penobscot River, just east of the Lincoln VA Clinic. He(?) was perched on a telephone pole on the north side of the road then flew to a pole on the opposite side of the road, acting like he was hunting in the adjacent fields. We got a few photograph, one is included below.
