[Maine-birds] The Abby is open, Bowdoinham, 4/8.

Hi all,

Katrina Fenton and I found the mouth of the Abagadasset River in Bowdoinham (Delorme Map 6: A4) finally open as of this afternoon.

While the duck numbers were not yet impressive (300 American Black Ducks, 50 Mallards, 30 Green-winged Teal, etc, plus my FOY Pied-billed Grebe), the Bald Eagle numbers were: we had at least 31 individuals!

Duck numbers should build rapidly here now, unless the eagles eat them all!
