On Friday, April 4, Gary Gulezian and I censused Belfast Bay. I was a great day for birding with the highlight being an adult Lesser Black-backed Gull at the mouth of the Little River and again at the harbor footbridge. There were also several FOY birds: Green-winged Teal, Wood Duck, Hooded Mergansers, Pied-billed Grebe, and Belted Kingfisher. The complete list is below.

Lesser Black-backed Gull 1 1 adult. Smaller than accompanying Herring Gulls, gray on the back and wings was a noticeably lighter shade than two accompanying Great Black-backed Gulls, yellow legs and feet.
