A quick visit to the DRA pond on Belvedere Rd. turned up a Gadwall pair, 1 male Green-Winged Teal, 1 Pie-Billed Grebe, several mallards and Canada Geese, a number of flashy Red-Winged Blackbirds and lots of Tree Swallows flitting across the pond and already nesting in the nest boxes. On the way back up the hill, a Great Blue Heron flew by and landed; 1 Eastern phoebe and Song Sparrows.
