[Maine-birds] FOY's: BLVU, MERL, OSPR, SNGO, EAPH, AMKE

Hi All,

4/5/2014 Sat - Two Snow Goose mixed in with hundreds of Canada Goose, loads of Wood Ducks, and Mallards in the Bell Farm fields on Rt 136 headed to Auburn.

4/6 - Sun - 2 American Kestrels along I-95, in fields past Richmond.  E. Phoebes in Freeport.

The Osprey nests all along I-95 headed upta' Bangor were empty on Sunday 4/6, but a colleague saw them occupied yesterday (4/9).  Must have moved in Monday and Tuesday.

4/8 Tues - Roadkill Merlin (adult male) in Auburn on Rt 136.

4/10 Thurs - Black Vulture on Poland Range Rd in Durham this evening.

More woodcocks outback than in the last five years, double digits displaying nightly.  Peenting into the wee hours.  I love it.

No peepers yet.

Happy Spring!

Lauren
