The Kennebec River in downtown Augusta is open, with ice floes, some highlights:
1 Great Blue Heron adult
~30 Tree Swallows
~60 Common mergansers, mostly male, some lounging on the ice floes
3 Double-crested cormorants
2 Common Golden-eyes
