A mixed bag of birds today but no significant quanities. JUNCOS likely out number other species, with SONG SPARROWS a close 2nd.
I saw a few SWAMP SPARROWS but no SAVANNAHS. Also saw around 3 dozen FLICKERS.
2 RED WINGED BLACKBIRDS and a GRACKLE were likely holdovers from yesterday
A single MERLIN kept all the little fellows alert through the 2nd half of the day.
The single CANADA GOOSE remains and (unfortunately) it's getting quite comfortable. There was an EAGLE around at mid-day but the Goose seemed undisturbed.
And yet another singleton: the 1st BLUE WINGED TEAL, a drake.
PURPLE SANDPIPERS were sparse but I figure they were dispersed throughout the inter-tidal zone as the tide was low during my rambling.
Bird Of The Day ...... PALM WARBLER. 3 seen, late afternoon, hawking flies in the high tide zone.
