For anyone who may be interested, I went to Cape Elizabeth to try finding the Lapwing reported a few times in recent days, but had no luck (was there from about 11 to 11:30 am). Has anyone else seen it over the last day or two? I checked the location previously reported (on Wells Road across the street from Jordan Farm) as well as other nearby fields on both sides of the road (Wells Rd).
-- In non-bird news, I was happy to see my first moths and butterflies of the year last Tuesday and Friday respectively.
