16 species of ducks made it a banner day this afternoon on the incoming tide at Wharton Point in Brunswick. Foraging with the continuing 400+ Amercian black ducks was an incredible number, for this location, of 385 green-winged teal. Joining the throng was another unusual sight, 10 northern shovelers, including 7 males. I suspect the frozen rivers, ponds and wetlands inland and to the north has temporarily concentrated the ducks at this location.
