[Maine-birds] Intervale Preserve, etc. New Gloucester - May 23

Despite the gloomy weather, there was a lot of bird activity in this area yesterday. A passing freight train at 10:35 finally seemed to put the damper on things, or maybe that's just my imagination.

No rails, but 15 species of warblers, all in multiples. Tons of Veery song and scolding. E W Pewee. Singing Alder Flies, and both Marsh Wrens and Swamp Sparrows were very conspicuous in the marsh. Watched one of the former fly up and pluck some of that fuzz from last year's cat-tail and take it home for nest lining. Rosy Gros singing everywhere.
