[Maine-birds] This Week's Highlights and New Arrivals, 5/17-22

Hi all,

Highlights for me in the past six days included the following:

- 1 continuing SNOWY OWL, Mile Stretch, Biddeford Pool, 5/18 (with Katrina Fenton; Photo here: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=836110706418885&set=pb.198877036808925.-2207520000.1400771988.&type=3&theater ).

- 3,000++ Black Scoters, East Point, Biddeford Pool, 5/18 (with Katrina Fenton).

- 1 immature Great Cormorant, East Point, 5/18 (with Katrina Fenton).

- 15 species of warblers, Biddeford Pool neighborhood, 5/18, led by 21 Yellow and 13 Common Yellowthroats (with Katrina Fenton).

- 2 Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, Biddeford Pool neighborhood, 5/18 (with Katrina Fenton).

- 17 species of warblers, Evergreen Cemetery, Portland, 5/20 led by 27 American Redstarts and 16 Black-throated Green Warblers (with Jeannette).

And my personal "FOY's" included:

- 1 Indigo Bunting (finally!), Elmwood Road, Pownal, 5/19.

- 1 Eastern Wood-Pewee, Evergreen Cemetery, 5/20 (with Jeannette).

- 1 Yellow-bellied Flycatcher, Evergreen Cemetery, 5/20 (with Jeannette).

- 1 Tennessee Warbler, Pownal Road, Freeport, 5/21.

- 1 Alder Flycatcher, Florida Lake Park, Freeport, 5/22.
