[Maine-birds] Popham, Labor Day morning

At 8:30 this morning, on receding tide with no other humans around, western edge of Popham….
50+ black-bellied plovers, beautiful to watch spread out over the lagoon
20-30 semipalmated plovers
large numbers of black-backed and herring gulls
2 snowy egrets flew into the lagoon from the tree line
2 short-billed dowitchers
bald eagle, flew west toward across the river, landed on the beach and stayed there until people arrived
1 greater yellowlegs?

…and then humans arrived in droves by 9:30. Should be great tomorrow.
