The variable weather of this week looks like it will clear up just in time for "mostly sunny" conditions on Saturday with a light north wind that'll get those birds on the wing. Forecasted seas are less than half of what they were last year ;) and we all managed great looks at both skuas in that.

Speaking of skuas, there have been an uptick in sightings of both flavors of skuas over the last week+ in the waters off Bar Harbor and east towards New Brunswick. We've been fortunate to see both species of skuas, among the impressive counts of shearwaters, storm-petrels, phalaropes, and other pelagic specialties the last couple years so I hope you can join us this Saturday!
