Seasonal notes:
The blackbird push continued this week with an increase in COMMON GRACKLES. There was also a push of AMERICAN WOODCOCKS reported around the state toward the end of the week.

York County

A THICK-BILLED MURRE was photographed near the Nubble Lighthouse at Cape Neddick on the 10th.

Greater Portland

On the 10th, a THICK-BILLED MURRE was reported from Dyer Point in Cape Elizabeth.

A RED-SHOULDERED HAWK was reported near the East Elm Street Bridge over the Royal River in Yarmouth on the 4th.

An immature WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW was found at Capisic Pond in Portland on the 7th.

The six CANVASBACKS in the Presumpscot River, visible from the Route 9 bridge in Falmouth, were still being reported as of the 8th.

The 'OREGON' DARK-EYED JUNCO coming to feeders in Cumberland continued this week.

A HOARY REDPOLL visiting a Pownal yard was last seen on the 6th.

Midcoast

An early DOUBLE-CRESTED CORMORANT was reported from Totman Cove in Phippsburg on the 8th.

Penobscot Bay

75 BOHEMIAN WAWINGS were reported from Camden Harbor on the 5th.

On the 10th, a COMMON MURRE was reported off Hurricane Island Headquarters on Clark Island.

A HOARY REDPOLL has been photographed this week at feeders on Kaler Street in Winterport.

Downeast

On the 4th, a THICK-BILLED MURRE was reported from Bartlett Narrows on Mount Desert Island.

A SNOWY OWL was found atop Acadia National Park's Sargent Mountain on the 7th.

Northern Maine

A NORTHERN HAWK OWL was reported again this week, on the 5th, in Houlton. The bird has been seen a short distance down Access Road near York's car dealership.
