A late morning visit - after most of the rain had moved through - to Sabattus Pond yielded 17 species of waterfowl:

154 Canada Geese
130 Greater Scaup
104 American Black Ducks
59 Buffleheads
48 Hooded Mergansers
45 Common Mergansers
28 Green-winged Teal
26 Common Goldeneyes
10 Northern Pintails
10 Mallard x American Black Duck hybrids
3 WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS
1 GADWALL
1 Ring-necked Duck
1 COMMON EIDER (drake; exceptional here, but just the remnant of a large flock reported yesterday)
