Weather:
An onshore wind plagued us today, slowly rotating from the NNE to a more not-terrible SSE. Skies began mostly cloudy but finished only partly cloudy. Unfortunately, temperatures remained fairly cool, topping out at 19C.

Raptor Observations:
Not surprisingly, what little flight there is on easterly winds at this time of year was dominated by Ospreys. Local raptor activity was much greater in the later afternoon today compared to the morning. Adult Bald Eagles were especially low and close this afternoon, with the local Red-tails and most of the pairs of Broad-winged Hawks present and accounted for.

Non-raptor Observations:
36 species were seen or heard from the summit today, including first-of-year Great-created Flycatcher. Those deemed migrating were limited to only: 11 Double-crested Cormorants, 7 Tree Swallows, 2 Chimney Swifts, 1 Common Loon, and 1 Northern Rough-winged Swallow.

Predictions:
With high pressure building in, we're in for a stretch of several nice days. Tomorrow, we're expecting clearer skies and warmer temperatures. Light - and most favorable - southwesterly winds may last until the beginning of the count before turning to the south and increasing. How far inland and how strong this afternoon sea breeze becomes will dictate how good of a day we have.
