A mystery egret hybrid is currently foraging right at the parking lot of the Pelreco Building on Scarborough Marsh. It is white with mottled light blue-gray patches. Legs and feet are black, and the bill is black and noticeably large. It has two long head plumes suggesting little egret, as does the bill. Have photos. Let the guesswork and speculation begin!
