[Maine-birds] Frenchman Bay

Sat. 5/7/22.  First nature cruise of the season after six months.  Cold east wind, choppy, 100 well dressed passengers.

Bald Eagle 2 (1a 1i)

Common Eider 20+

Black Guillemot 4

Herring and Black-backed Gulls.  Many HEGU seemed to be on nests.

D-c Cormorants.  Of note were several that appeared to be on nests on Egg Rock.  Although this is a regular roosting island we have never seen any attempt at nesting.  Will be watching them closely.
