[Maine-birds] Birds and windows

Just a brief note to say that since I put up our home made version of the Acopian system, we have had no further incidents. The Acopian system is simply a specific way of hanging strings outside your windows. You can find more info online with instructions for DIY. (Funny note: we were replacing the bungee supports on a deck chair, so I used the old pieces in the window. Birds don't care!) Anyway, after being responsible for the deaths of three WT Sparrows, we are very pleased that this is working.
