[Maine-birds] Frenchman Bay area...

Wed. 10/17
One trip around the bay today picked up:
12 White-winged Scoter
2 Surf Scoter
20+ Black Scoter
1000+ Common Eider
25+ Common Loon
1 Red-throated Loon
2 Merlin passing south across the bay.
1 Harrier crossing bay that was mobbed by crows as it passed over Sheep Porcupine I.
2 Bald Eagles,both adults, one sitting on the nest on Sheep P.
The automatic camera at my feeder in Bar Harbor noted (nothing spectacular):
3 Blue Jays that dominated the feeder
a pair of Cardinals
1 White-breasted Nuthatch
6-10 Song Sparrows
5+ White-throated Sparrows
several Dark-eyed Juncos but they remained around the fringes of the feedeer area
House Finch
Purple Finch
Chickadees
6 Mourning Doves
Three mammal species, Gray Squirrel, House Cat, and the Mailman.
I have not recorded my Brown Thrashers for over a week.
Dozens of Robins in the apple trees around the yard.
