Just a quick note to report that flocks of Bohemian Waxwings have reached central Aroostook county with flocks seen in Presque Isle, Washburn and Caribou in the past few days. A pair of Pine Grosbeaks were seen in Limestone last Wednesday and a couple stopped briefly in my yard in Woodland this AM. White-winged Crossbills are also starting to trickle in with small flock flyovers in Woodland, Washburn and Caribou this weekend. Evening Grosbeaks continue to increase.
I received a second hand report of Brant seen on Echo Lake in Presque Isle last week and still need to follow up on that one for more details. The Snow Goose affectionately known as Moby continues to be seen with Canada Geese in the Washburn area. this is the third week it has been seen.
Cheers
