[Maine-birds] Phippsburg siskin insanity

Phippsburg, Maine Map 6 Totman Cove

Pine siskin counts rising daily - last night count jumped to around 120 birds, a giant cloud of them swirling and zipping through the air and coating every feeder and deck rail. The mess they are making on the decks and domed squirrel baffles on the feeders is worse than a flock of Pigeons in a city! An absolutely amazing phenomenon to see so many of them!
a few Am goldfinches, less than a dozen mixed in.
BC chickadees are able to compete, as are 3 RB nuthatches and a few Jays.
I have been scouring these birds for perhaps a Common Redpoll, but so far, no.
