Yesterday I had a host of Pine Siskins at my feeders - 30+ at one time most of the afternoon. This morning - only a couple PISIs along with a pair of Purple Finches, 4 Juncos, a Song Sparrow and a White -throated Sparrow amongst my usual backyard visitors.
In Cape Elizabeth, a friend has had daily visits by Red-billed Woodpeckers for the past month or so. I have not seen the pair that nested in my area this summer for a couple months.
