Mount Desert Island Birds: The Rain in Maine

Sand Beach to Otter Cove 2012 , Hancock, US-ME
Sep 30, 2012 9:45 AM - 1:40 PM
Protocol: Traveling
4.0 mile(s)
Comments: The Cruise ship Maasdam "Ocean Trail Hike" on a drenching rain. The birds were  hunkered down today with the most amazing thing seen ……….the Waterfalls  of Dorr Mountain in Acadia National Park. Rivers of water were careening down the steep easterly cliff.  The first trip this morning managed to walk through the coastal forest behind and across Sand Beach. Today's birds were predictable in light of consistent and prolonged downpores.  Seemed like it was not a good day for a Pelagic trp. Rain Date??
