A pair of Sandhill Cranes has been seen periodically in the fields along route 100 near Freshening Farm (about half a mile north from where the Scissor-tailed Flycatcher was hanging out this summer) for the last few weeks. They are usually in the fields on the east side of the road, but occasionally on the western side. They were present yesterday afternoon.
