I have been inundated with Pine Siskens ever since we got back from our annual trip to Amelia Island (6-13-12), I mean like 140-150 Siskens all day (no Redpolls yet) ! They are everywhere and they will feed as I fill the feeders. I finally had my first of fall White-Crowned Sparrow and 12-15 White-Throateds and ofcourse I had my 4th Dickcissel of the fall for 2 days now, did not see him today as I actually had to work on one of our apartments ALL day. Did have a Red-Bellied Woodpecker just before we left for vaca. The Goldfinches numbers have dropped dramatically only to be replaced by Siskens. Highlights from Amelia were 3 Cape May Warblers including one awesome male, 1female Hooded Warbler, Louisiana Waterthrush, male Yellow-Throated Warbler, Great Horned Owl and a bunch of Painted Buntings, had a male Black-Throated Blue feeding 8' from me at eye level for almost 3 solid minutes!!! one 4' Water Moccasin (Cottonmouth) crossing the path at Egans Creek 15' in front of me and ofcourse Aligators. The sharks toothing was bad as I only came home with about 50, I normally come home with hundreds.
