[Maine-birds] Yarmouth Red-shouldered Hawk

Earlier this afternoon an adult Red-shouldered Hawk was perched on a
utility wire, watching over a large group of Mallards swimming in a
thawed section of the Royal River, next to the East Elm Street bridge.
There may have been other duck species there, but I was driving by and
could only afford a brief glance. A portent of migration? The Bradbury
Mountain Hawkwatch season begins in just a week and a half!

Good birding,
