[Maine-birds] American Woodcock Biddeford

Not exactly earth shattering news, but while studying for my Disturbance Ecology midterm, I was perusing a slide on managing young forest for wildlife (including woodcock) when I heard a distinctive peent! I checked my speakers, but they weren't the source of the noise. It was an actual woodcock, calling so loudly that I could hear it from inside with the windows closed! As I write this, it's still out in my driveway, peenting loudly.

Also had my FOY Wild Turkeys on the side of 295 just south of Portland today.

Good Birding
