[Maine-birds] Additional Highlights This Week and New Arrivals, 3/23-3/29

Hi all,
A few additional observations of note from me over the past seven days included:
- 1 Red-bellied Woodpecker, Wolfe's Neck Farm, Freeport, 3/23 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk group.  I believe this is my first for this locale).
- 1 HOARY REDPOLL with about 50 Common Redpolls, our yard in Pownal on 3/24.  Unfortunately I was unable to obtain a photo.  A/nother HOARY visited with about 20 Commons on 3/28, but I did not see it long enough to hypothesize about this being the same bird or not.  Yet again, we had a HOARY - with 40-50 Commons this time - this morning (3/29).
- 2 Red-necked Grebes, Brown's Point, Bowdoinham, 3/24 (with Doug Hitchcox.  Always a treat inland).
- 6 Purple Sandpipers, Sandy Point, Cousin's Island, Yarmouth, 3/25.
- 30 Purple Sandpipers, Pine Point, Scarborough, 3/26 (with Katrina Fenton).
- 1 pair American Wigeon, Dunstan Creek, Scarborough Marsh, 3/26 (with Katrine Fenton).
- 1 immature WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW, continuing at Capisic Pond Park, Portland, 3/27.
- 1 Great Blue Heron (first of spring), Greely Road, Cumberland, 3/28.
- 4 Razorbills and 20+ Black Guillemots, East Point, Biddeford Pool, 3/29.
- 1 Ruddy Turnstone, 7 Dunling, and 30 Purple Sandpipers, Ocean Avenue, Biddeford Pool, 3/29.
- 1 1st-year Glaucous Gull and 2 Iceland Gulls (one each of 1st- and 3rd-year), Old Port, Portland, 3/29.
