Took the kayak out on the Salmon Fall River in Acton on Saturday leaving from the Hopper Road.
There is a wonderful road side parking spot with great views of passing birds for anyone wanting to view from their car.
This is one of my favorite times of the year at ice-out when the waterfowl is always abundant.
The river was teaming with Woodies, Hoodies and Common Mergansers along with oodles of red winged blackbirds, a solo kingfisher, and what appeared to be resident Osprey from the distance.
Enjoy the photos - you can start with this photo link and from here scroll through some of the others: http://markhjonesphotography.zenfolio.com/p361915659/h59efbc2c#h59efb9c0.
