Comments:     Kevin McKinney from Florida and I spent an amazing end of winter day trying to find birds on MDI. It was still gray and quiet this morning but this afternoon I was treated to Common Grackle and a few American Robins.  Great way to end a winter in Maine!

Comments:     Margaret and Ken Viens  and I checked in on the Red-Headed Woodpecker and found him very comfortably at home lounging on his cavity tree before playing hide-and-seek on the backside of a Maple Tree. It has been a feeder related bird since December 30, 2012 , thru a cold and hard winter. Chill factors of 20 below forced him to secure a cavity on the south and west of an old Aspen tree. The other good find... was a flock of Common Grackle which were the most delightful I have heard since last fall. FOY for me on MDI
