At last. After three years of trying..and some friendly
pointers, I finally saw and photographed some purple sandpipers.
While my wife and I were walking the Rockland Breakwater
yesterday we noticed 7 or 8 small birds fly in and land on the seaward
side of the breakwater. It only took a few moments to locate
them. What a pleasure to see a shorebird this early in the spring.
Cheers,
Dave
