[Maine-birds] Fw: (Maine Birds) Mount Desert Island Birds: Ring-necked Duck

Hello all,

A  Lesser Scaup was reported to me at Somesville Mill Pond which would have been an excellent bird for the location. They turned out to be e two male Ring-necked Duck... still a beautiful bird to see after a long winter.   M

Comments:     3 Bufflehead made an appearance in the pond today with the far eastern side open there is now some activity and ducks are showing up.

Comments:     Nico and I were collecting maple sap when the loud call of a Pileated Woodpecker shattered the silence.
