Observation start time: 08:00:00
Observation end   time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter:        Katrina Fenton

Observers:

Visitors:
19.

Weather:
A few clouds in the morning, but by noon the skies were almost completely
overcast. Light rain and drizzle in the afternoon, but not enough
precipitation to discourage some birds from migrating. The wind was mostly
out of the north-northwest. Temperatures rose to a few degrees above 40.

Raptor Observations:
Two more adult Northern Goshawks this morning, setting a new season record
for Bradbury. A Cooper's Hawk and a Sharp-shinned Hawk finished off the
day's accipeter sweep. Local Bald Eagles spent much of the day fishing over
the Royal River.

Non-raptor Observations:
A flock of 35 Bohemian Waxwings visited the summit for a couple of hours
this morning, feeding on the junipers. A near Northern Goshawk sent them
worrying to a tree behind the hawkcounter, but they soon returned to
feeding after determining the goshawk wasn't interested.

Non-raptor migrants:
Canada Goose- 194
Common Merganser- 3
waterfowl sp.- 23
duck sp.- 2
Great Blue Heron- 1
Killdeer- 1
European Starling-3
Bohemian Waxwing- 35
waxwing sp.- 15
Common Grackle- 20
American Goldfinch- 1

Predictions:
Tomorrow will be much drier with mostly cloudy skies and temperatures that
could climb close to 50. The wind will continue to be out of the north,
blowing at 10-15mph. There will probably be a similar number of migrants to
what we've been seeing the past couple of days.
