Re: [Maine-birds] Great Cormorant - Riverside Park, Westbrook

Thanks to Maribeth, I was able to catch the Great Cormorant this pm. It was directly behind the old brick mill building complex across from the bridge from the park and easily observed from the bldg's parking lot on Bridge St. above the dam. It was perched on a log about 30 feet from shore. It was slightly uneasy w/ its celebrity but was fine w/ my standing near the cars. There were also 2 hen Common Goldeneyes right near it and a drake below the falls. Added bonus - an otter (not a muskrat) just out from the GC!
