[Maine-birds] Schoodic Point SeaWatch

Westerly winds, 8 to 20 mph. 7 - 9 AM.

Cloudy, some moments of drizzle but not disturbing scope or binocular use.

20 species. 258 birds.  Highlights:

103   Northern gannets (70% fairly close to shore - within 100 yards).

     3   Black-legged Kittiwake

  12   Common Loon

    4    Red-throated Loon

    9    Harlequin Duck (5 males)  

  10   Horned Lark

   60  American Robin  (one large, somewhat disoriented flock (grackles mixed in).

    8   Common Grackles
