Greetings, birders-
In follow up to Jeff’s post, this “swarm” of swallows at Cobbossee Stream first appeared yesterday (or at least that’s when I saw it). It was truly a spectacle.
For great, close looks at handsome, smart-looking Ring-necked Ducks, a few continue up the stream a bit, toward the middle school. A good photog could get some great shots.
Also, I wanted to let folks know that MaineBirds’ own David Small has the My Maine This Week photo at NRCM’s website. It’s a stunning photo of a Bohemian Waxwing. I invite you to have a look and to send along bird (or other “Maine outdoors”) photos you’d like to share. This is a very popular feature and a good way to show off your photos to a broad audience. Just click on the photo on the home page.
Osprey over the office this morning – FOY for my office list.
Good birding,
Allison Wells
