In conditions best described as brutal, E wind 25+, temps "warming" up to 36F; Low tide begin flood. 4 Piping Plovers, vocal and foraging together on inner New Sand Island. Also FOY Pectoral Sandpiper, solo in the Borrow Pit area mud.
