The larger bird would have been the female. Not sure what was going on except that it could be that they are not a mated pair so they are actually competing for that nesting place, or they have been apart down south for so long they need to get reaquainted. Dick

Short and sweet. Any idea what these two could have been up to?The larger osprey flew in to the nest sight, hovered a moment thenas it lowered itself, the nest sitting osprey flew up to fend it off.The attacker flew off carrying what looked like nest material.Cheers,Dave
