Had a nice second winter Iceland Gull on Egg Rock in Frenchman Bay today. It flew from the south and joined a group of Herring Gulls roosting on the south end of the island and was still there three hours later.
Also on Egg Rock six Bald Eagles, 2 adult, 1 third summer, 3 second summer birds in the middle of the seal pupping area. All the immature birds were sparring. When one would get too close to an adult the adult would fly at it and move it farther away. I believe there was a dead pup nearby but out of sight behind some rocks.
